How to Plan a Pan-India Festive Gifting Programme
Festive gifting at enterprise scale looks simple from the outside and is anything but. A single missed deadline or an inconsistent gift across locations undoes months of goodwill. Here’s a practical sequence we use with clients planning a pan-India rollout.
Start with the headcount and the map
Before products, lock two numbers: total recipients, and how they’re distributed across cities and branches. A 5,000-unit programme to one warehouse is a very different exercise from the same 5,000 split across 40 locations — and the second needs planning weeks earlier.
Set the budget per unit, then curate
Agree a per-unit and total budget up front. Working within that frame, the right partner recommends product combinations that maximise perceived value rather than pushing a fixed catalogue. This keeps finance comfortable and recipients impressed.
Build the timeline backwards from the festival
Pick the date the gift must be in hand, then work backwards through delivery windows, production, customisation, and approvals. Festive logistics are congested — the earlier the confirmation, the safer the landing.
- Confirm quantities and product mix
- Approve branding, packaging, and inserts
- Lock production and dispatch dates
- Track multi-location delivery to completion
Insist on one point of coordination
Across many locations, a single coordinating team — accountable end to end — is what keeps quality, packaging, and delivery consistent everywhere. It’s also who you call when something needs to change at short notice.
If you’re mapping out this year’s festive programme, start the conversation early — the calendar is the one thing we can’t add more of.
